Raccoons

What Do They Look Like?

The raccoon is a medium-sized mammal native to North America. Its grayish coat mostly consists of dense underfur which insulates it against cold weather. Two of the raccoon’s most distinctive features are its extremely dexterous front paws and its facial mask. Raccoons are noted for their intelligence, with studies showing that they are able to remember the solution to tasks for up to three years.

Should I Be Concerned?

When raccoons take up residence inside an attic they are capable of causing tremendous amounts of property damage. Often, the damage raccoons do to gain entry to your attic is minimal compared to what they do once inside. In a short amount of time, a family of raccoons is capable of destroying your insulation and filling your attic with harmful and odorous urine and feces which often requires decontamination.
